Starting on Wednesday March 5th we begin our annual Lenten season of 40 days leading up to the great Feast of Easter. This year the Readings are from Cycle A .

Short-Term Pledge Prayer

I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all intoxicating drink until ………….

Rules

1. To abstain from all intoxicating drink for the period for which the pledge is taken. (This rule prohibits the use of all alcoholic drinks.)
2. To repeat the pledge twice daily
5. To wear the badge publicly
