Catholic Schools Week 2027 – INVITES – Opening hearts and minds to life in Christ

INVITES

Opening hearts and minds to life in Christ

17th – 24th January 2027

Catholic Schools invite all of us into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who with the help of the Holy Spirit, leads us to a life of friendship with a God who is love (1 John 4:8,16).

Such friendship is lived out and nourished by participation in the community of believers that is the Church. Catholic Schools are part of the Church and actively nourish and accompany each person in the joys and sorrows of their spiritual journey and in their search for meaning and purpose in life. It respects those who find meaning in other faith traditions and secular worldviews.

The school community grows together through shared dialogue and reflection, active listening and a culture of encounter. Opportunities for discernment, silence, prayer, liturgy, and the Sacraments are integrated into the rhythm of the school day and liturgical year.

As we come together for another week of stories, prayer and hope, we’re inspired by the news that Pope Leo XIV will join ACN’s ‘One Million Children Praying the Rosary for Peace’ campaign this October.

Children from across the world, including those living through conflict and persecution, will unite in prayer for peace, a powerful reminder of how faith can bring people together.

This week’s eNews also features how you, your family or community can get involved with the One Million Children prayer campaign over the next couple of weeks. You can also read the latest on our Holy Land appeal and find details of our upcoming October events, which we hope you will be able to join.

This October, children around the world will unite in prayer through ACN’s One Million Children Praying the Rosary campaign.

From schools and parishes to families at home, young people across every continent will come together and pray for peace, unity and hope in a world marked by conflict and suffering.

This year’s initiative runs from 1 to 7 October, culminating on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, with Pope Leo XIV joining children in prayer at the Vatican. We ask that you too will join in prayer.
